What are the differences between Bunker-Aid and
Bunker-Aid PLUS?
Bunker-Aid is a 100% synthetic product, a fraction of the cost of competing materials.
Bunker-Aid PLUS is a unique 100% synthetic material with a net backing for added durability. There is nothing on the market like it!
How thick is Bunker-Aid or Bunker-Aid Plus?
Years of lab testing and field results have shown the optimum size product to be 1/2” thick. This thickness allows the best overall product performance. The 1/2” thick product is tough enough to withstand the rigors of installation and repeated bunker play, yet supple enough to be easy to install.
What sizes do your products come in?
3' x 50' (150 sq. ft.) and 6' x 50' (300 sq. ft.)
Is the netting side installed up or down?
Netting side UP: The netting should be installed up with the coarse side against the bunker surface.
What kind of sand should I use?
The sand should have a penatrometer reading of 2.3 or higher and should have an infiltration rate of 15" or higher per hour.
What is the recommended sod staple?
8" – 8 gauge steel sod staple – we offer these staples (you would need 1 box per 2 rolls of product).
